Highlights of 2022

The year went by in a blink of an eye! Thanks to our loyal and also many new customers, we have been able to contribute to large and small orders and beautiful projects. Meanwhile, the holidays are approaching, a wonderful time to enjoy with your family and friends. We would like to thank you for the past year and wish you happy holidays and a healthy, inspiring and succesful 2023!

1.000.000 metres of profiles delivered

By 2022, we shiped more than 1.000.000 metres of aluminium profiles to our customers. With almost a total length from our company in Drachten to Lyon in France. These aluminium profiles are divided over more than 100 profiles and customers from 27 countries.

Trade fairs in full swing again

After two tough years due to the corona pandemic, trade fairs are in full swing again. Last year, we were present at the Sign & Print Expo in Gorinchem and at the FESPA in Berlin. And how nice it was to be able to do so again! We spoke many customers and met interesting people. So we can't wait for the next trade fairs in 2023:

Euroshop in Düsseldorf (26 February to 2 March)
Sign & Print Expo in Gorinchem (14 to 16 March)
FESPA in Munich (23 to 26 May)

Acquisition by Lifco

In August Lifco, a Swedish listed company, acquired the business of EFKA. The arrival of Lifco as a shareholder offers EFKA the ideal opportunity to let the company grow even futher with the aim of strengthening its market position in Europe and beyond. But don't panic, nothing will change for you as an EFKA customer. We will continue to operate independently. Read the whole news item.

First training in our Experience Centre

The first training in our new Experience Centre is a fact! By attending our training, our customer can advise their clients even better. Of course, a tour of the production facilities is also a must, and what could be better than seeing where your frames are produced!

Restyling the production facilities

Our production hall was also in the need of a new look. For instance, we fitted the production area with enormously large frames. Each frame is about 10 metres wide, real eye-catchers in our production hall!

First webinar

In November, we had our first webinar and we received loads of positive responses! In the webinar, we showed all the ins-and-outs of our new outdoor frames. We will hold more webinars next year. Do you have topics you would like us to address? Let us know!

New products

We have added several new products to our product range this year. We also launched three new outdoor profiles, two of which are illuminated.

Outdoor 40
A robust and storm-proof outdoor frame. This frame does not require any eyelets or elastics to tension the banner. The banner is tensioned through an internal tendon tilt profile. Read more.

Outdoor Lightbox 80
The Outdoor Lightbox 80 frame is the illuminated version of the Outdoor 40 profile. The banner is backlit with waterproof and energy-efficient LEDs pre-mounted on a Dibond plate. Read more.

Outdoor Lightbox 80 Acrylic
An illuminated outdoor frame with an acrylic panel. This is backlit by waterproof LEDs preinstalled on a Dibond plate. Lightbox foil can be applied repeatedly at the supplied acrylic panel. Read more.

Tube 42 (tubular frame)
A super strong frame with an industrial look, suitable for all types of advertising. Standard available in silver and black. Read more.

Heavy 26 45°
A single-sided profile for a 3D effect. Due to the fact that the frame extends slightly outwards, it lets the print float. With the Heavy 26 45° profile you can easily turn around the corner in a room, so that the profile can be used as a carre profile. Read more.

Dibond adapter
Now, even more illuminated double-sided profiles can be fitted with LED on Dibond technology by using a dibond adapter. The dibond adapter can also be used to easily place sheet material in a profile. Read more.

Plug-in strip and round keder
A plug-in strip makes fabric confection unnecessary. The plug-in strip can simply be pressed into a textile frame. Also suitable for one side of a textile frame for extra tensioning. The round keder is suitable for the Cord 43 profile. Read more.

Together with NietNix Productions, we recorded a new corporate video. With this video, we can show our (potential) customers who we are and what we can do for our customers, in an even better way.

New catalogue

In 2021, we launched our new website and this year our catalogue was in the need of a little 'refreshing'. This way, it is once again up to date and in line with our website. In the catalogue, you will find all our aluminium profiles and related accessories, including inspiration and explanations. The catalogue is available online in three languages and also available as a white label variant.

Teambuilding activity in Bakkeveen

In June, the entire EFKA team went to Bakkeveen for a teambuilding activity. We started with the Expedition Robinson game: in six teams we competed for victory and everlasting fame. We ended the day with a barbecue and a drink. In short: it was a great day and good for teambuilding!

New gallery of images

"One image says more than a thousand words", a well-known proverb that we completely agree with. That is why we have launched a new gallery of images for you this year. Here, you will find pictures of the different types of frame we have to offer. Use these images for inspiration, your website, social media or other purposes. This will make it even easier to sell textile frames!

Sustainability

Sustainability is becoming a great issue of importance and EFKA can not stay behind. Last year, for instance, we already switched to electric cars and next year we will make our entire company building more sustainable.

Recently, we have worked hard on a handy step-by-step plan you get the right frame for the right solution. This will help you understand which textile frame to recommend in which situation. We are currently in the testing phase, but you will hear more soon!

From 37 to 46 employees

We grew significantly last year, and this also means new colleagues. Our team has grown from 37 to 46 employees. Pictured on the right are some of our new champions.
